Simone completed her undergraduate studies in Veterinarian Medicine at Universidade Federal de Uberlandia (Brazil) in 1996. She did her Master in Food Science at Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain) in 1998. Actually, she is a doctoral student from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil – www.ufsc.br), since 2012, working with Vibrio vulnificus in oyster and comparing methodologies for the detection of this bacterium in oyster and water. Simone is a visiting doctoral student in the Noble Lab since February 2015, with one year scholarship from the Science without Borders Program from CNPq, Brazil.
