The Noble Laboratory is currently conducted rapid response research in collaboration with the NC Policy Collaboratory. The Noble Laboratory is collaborating with colleagues Drs. Lee Ferguson (Duke), Jill Stewart, Angela Harris (NCSU), and others to improve our capacity to understand the public health risks associated with the flooding and storm surge as related to hurricanes and tropical systems. We are linking the incidence of extreme events to bacterial and viral pathogens along the coast, and are working to understand the risk associated with our estuaries in post-hurricane circumstances.
